Wall Maria represents the largest and outermost of the three concentric stone structures enclosing human territory. For over a century, its towering 50-meter ramparts provided tranquility, until the Colossal Titan and Armored Titan shattered its southern gateways in Year 845. Humanity was forced to surrender one third of its agricultural territory and retreat behind Wall Rose, resulting in severe famine and the tragic refugee reclamation campaign.
